FAQ's
What is an HDR Image?
HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is included in all of our real estate packages. This technique provides the most true to life colors. HDR also ensures you receive a clear and perfect window view. This is essential for those listings with impressive views or large windows.
How should a home be prepared for shoot day?
Preparing a home for a real estate photo shoot is all about creating a welcoming, clutter-free environment that showcases the best features of your property. Start by decluttering each room—remove personal items like family photos and knick-knacks to help potential buyers envision themselves in the space. Clean every surface, including floors, windows, and countertops, to ensure the home shines. If possible, rearrange furniture to create a more open, spacious feel and consider adding fresh touches, like plants or flowers, for a pop of color. Pay attention to lighting—natural light is key, so open curtains and blinds to let in as much as possible. Lastly, make sure the exterior is just as polished; mow the lawn, trim bushes, and tidy up the front porch for those important curb appeal shots. The goal is to create a clean, inviting atmosphere that makes a lasting impression.
How long will the real estate photography appointment take?
It depends on the size of the home. Smaller homes take less time, usually around an hour, while larger homes (larger than 2500 square feet) take between two and three hours. A good rule of thumb is to plan for about an hour of photography time for each 1,000 square feet.
How much notice do you need to schedule my photography appointment?
To ensure we provide the best possible service and give your property the attention it deserves, we ask for 1-3 days' notice for scheduling a photo shoot. The more advance notice you can provide, the better we can accommodate your preferred timing and give your project the focus it needs. By planning ahead, we can also adjust for any weather conditions, lighting preferences, or specific requests you may have. Of course, we understand that sometimes things come up last minute, so feel free to reach out as early as possible, and we’ll do our best to make it work!
What equipment do you use?
I use a high end Sony Camera with a wide angle lens. I also bring small speedlites (flashes), light reflectors, tripods, and a variety of other equipment.
When will I receive my photos?
Real estate photography sessions include a 24 hour turnaround, so expect to see your photos within 24 hours of the end of the photography appointment.
How will I receive my photos?
Your photos and/or video will be delivered via an online gallery.
